Water Sports in Central Taiwan

As a subtropical island, Taiwan offers some fantastic water sports.  The most famous locales are the offshore island of Penghu, the East Coast and Kenting - all around 30 to 45 minutes away by air. 

However, recently many have discovered that there are options that are just as good, if not better, right here in Central Taiwan. 

Water sports for the whole family are available at the plentiful local swimming pools, or at one of Taiwan's premier water parks, Mala Bay Water World (part of Yamay Recreation World) in northern Taichung city's Houli District (see link below).  For beach activities and more exciting options like kiteboarding and windsurfing, be sure to head out to TongXiao (TongSiao) beach (see articles above).
