Mr. Gordon Graylish ,Intel VP of Sales and Marketing Group and GM of ESS, and the six-member delegation visited Taichung City Government on May 24,received by the City Government Information Management Center Director Chang,Chung Chi.In the meeting, Mr. Gordon congratulated Taichung City Government is awarded as Top 7 Intelligent Community of the 2012 which is the only one in Asia,but also learned that the challenge of the IT of Taichung City Government are a) collaboration and integration amongst different regions and functions, b) data collection and maintenance, c) infrastructure and security management.
Intel has been the company on the cutting edge of technology industry for decades of years.In the meeting, Mr. Gordon shared his experience of the BKMs when he visited London, New York City and Korea.He also realized that Taichung City Government will continue to enhance its positioning as Intelligent Community, and is setting up a cloud-based platform as the one stop service center for data integration and value-add application. Google Earth Enterprise (GEE) is being used in the platform to facilitate land zoning/planning and assist policy/fire departments for emergency dispatch. So, The potential collaboration subjects include Green IT, Infrastructure security, and performance improvement issue.
